Part 1

This lesson is to make a magazine cover and the same design is going to front one of the articles as well. I am building it around mental health and the articles in the magazine is about that as well.

The four articles I’m going to write about is :

Culture: Can music have a measurable impact on mental health, as the main article.

Gear: overwhelmed and feeling behind as a music producer? Let’s talk about how to catch up without burning out.

Substainability: Joep Manche talks sustainability.

Travel: five things that’s make Croatia the best place for destination festivals.

Event: The top 5 clubs in Ibiza you have to go.

The format of the magazine is with 203 mm and hight is 276 mm and added bleed.

This is how I imagine the cover to look like in a way, with the main focus on the design and main article. Front the other articles so the reader can get a feel of what it’s all about.

The target audience is manly the younger crowd from 18 to 24, the group is 39 % of the readers. Then the second group is from 25 to 34 that is 37 %. They are young and a focus on the mental health is important . So the age from 18 to 34 is 76 % and the largest group together. The remaining group is age 35 to 44 is 16 % and the rest is the rest of the age group.

I will use my own illustrations, images , the article texts and I have in mind to showcase mental health as well with some facts. I get all the articles from the Magnetic Magazine and I have to use them as the text without changing it. I m looking forward to start designing and finding the color scheme and layouts.
