Describe the similarities and differences between suprematism and constructivism. There is no prescribed word count; you just need to show that you understand the movements in broad terms.
- For each of these movements, find examples from their eras, and then two contemporary designs you think are influenced by these styles.
- Explain, in your own words, how you can see the influence of suprematism and constructivism in these modern-day designs.
Supermatism is based on the use of basic geometric forms, especially squares and circles. The movment started in the 1915`s in Russia. It is also a non objective form of art.
Constructivism is based on the Supermatism and formed a new art that was used that was punctual and useful to society .
The similarity between this two forms are that the use of forms, usability , the simplicity and that the use few colors. also have good spacing and a good balance.
The difference is that constructivism is used in political statements and the visuals for a purpose for the people. And the suprematism don’t have that attachment just the form of art with the use of the elements.
Supermatism then and now, u can fint traces from a lot of artists where all forms and linjes get used in som way.
